"Invalid session token. Authentication failure" when Remote KVM & CD on Intel Modular Server?

$

I encounter error (alert window  "Invalid session token. Authentication failure") when doing Remote KVM  & CD on Intel Modular Server MFSYS35 (see attachment).

I have  restarted the CMM by click SAVE button on the IP Configuration menu  (without change anything) and the CMM restarted but the problem still.

The alert window disappear after restart all the chassis.

Is there any other way to get rid of alert window "Invalid session token. Authentication failure" without restart the chassis?

Controller ID: 0 PD Predictive failure Question

My question is how the heck do I determine which drive is about to fail, without having to pull the system offline and run SMART checks on each drive.

Here's the event:

"

Controller ID:  0   PD Predictive failure:

Event ID:96

"

OS is Server 2008 R2

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

S4600LH, flashupdt, system freeze

I have a new S4600LH with an old BIOS that doesn't recognize my E5-4627 V2 CPU's.  I am running Centos 6.5. with the latest updates as of today.

I downloaded the flashupdt utility and installed the RPM, but when I run it the system immediately locks up and requires the reset button -- the watchdog process reboots it after a short while.

I tried with both the -i and -u options and it locked up the same way.  The -h option works at least.  Here is where the lock up happens:

# /usr/bin/flashupdt/flashupdt -i

One Boot Flash Update Utility Version 11.0 Build 15

  Copyright (c) 2013 Intel Corporation

(zzzzzzz, system is frozen at this point)

What do I have to do to make flashupdt work?  I'll try the UEFI process just for fun, but the Linux utility is the most important one to get working.  Don't you have a way for the BIOS to read the updates from a CDROM (or USB-copied CDROM image)?  That would be much more compatible and easy to use than any of these other methods.

Thanks,

Mark

Intel adapter teaming issue

So I went to configure adapter teaming and had nothing but problems.  The wizard would start the process, create the Intel Advanced Network Services Virtual Adapter, then hang and not complete any other parts of the process.  I found out that I was using the wrong version of the software for my adapters (which are Pro/1000 MT Dual Port), installed an older version, and all was good to go... except for the 4 Virtual adapters that were created previously by failed attempts of the wizard.  How do I remove these unused virtual adapters from the server?  Simply trying to uninstall them via the device manager doesn't work.  Neither did removing the teaming software, rebooting the server, or simply trying to delete the network connection.

Edit:  As a side note, the Intel Raid Web Console shows this drive cage with 2 power supplies.  Always did.  I only have one.  So not sure if that's just how many it can hold or if it's just not intelligent enough to detect the number of drives.

Thanks.

S1200BTS: RAID Option ROM does not show on boot

$

Hi all,

i bought a machine with an Intel Server Board S1200BTS and I want to configure a disk array using the chipset's features. I selected "RAID" as SATA mode and "RST" as RAID mode in the mass storage controller section of the BIOS setup. But how do i create the RAID array? No option ROM is displayed on boot, i tried hitting Ctrl+E or Ctrl+I anyway but nothing happens. Additionally, no SATA device is available for boot (i suppose because they are now handled by the RAID BIOS that i cannot access). Changing the RAID option to ESRT does not change this behaviour (just tried this for debugging purposes). I also checked the BIOS boot configuration because i think that a seperate boot option should be visible there but it only shows the two NICs and the EFI shell option. I updated the BIOS to the latest version 41 but that did not resolve the problem. Does anyone have a clue what i might be doing wrong here? Quiet boot is disabled by the way. Clearing the CMOS did not help either. If i change the controller mode back to AHCI my disks show up and i can boot from a single disk but this is not what i intend to do.

Any help is appreciated because the system was ordered without on-site support and therefore i would have to return it to the dealer (he insists that this feature should be available out of the box).

RAID Driver for Intel S3000AH motherboard Windows Server 2008 R2

Support for this motherboard has ended.  This board had been purchased 02/01/2007.  However, with the release of Windows Server 2008 R2, it's like breathing new life into a server that still has adequate speed.  Currently I have an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor in the system with still room to grow.

Sadly, there is no W2K8 R2 driver for the Intel Embedded RAID, Intel® ICH7R I/O Controller.

Hey INTEL!!!  Can you make a driver please???  I purchased your board with the consideration that I could later upgrade it keeping up with technology.  Thanks in advance.

As for other readers, if you know of a 3rd party driver source, please point me in the right direction.

SS4000-E 100% Full Can't access data, enable FTP, or SSH

I've been using this Grrrrreat NAS Array and had been working for YEARS. Just last week it is now 100% Full and my share is gone.

It has FW fs-bc 1.3-b524,   4 x 500GB HD's   and a 1.3TB shares (but i cant access any of the shares \\share any more), but I can PING the NAS

Here is a lot info so you can get idea on the status on the array;

I can login into browser (using Firfox ver 29) the 3 x Green lights are on, the 4 HD's show (and are powered on and green {even during a bootup they do light up in order top/bottom}) also show Hot plug Indicator (in yellow) they are all  ST3500641AS (465GB each), I can't expand the share (it shows i have only available disk space is -2 MB free), It will not let me enable FTP (the on/off button shows, but will not complete when i enable it), i can't enable SSH (the on button shows, but will not complete when i press it), The SHARED folders show NOT READY backup clients NOT Ready. Under the SYSTEM Status screen  CPU is 100% Idle (all day long, even after a reboot(s)), network IPs are still good, FANs are 1704 RPM, disk temps are 54,35,38 Deg C, i can't even make a XRAY and save the file. I've tried using many ver of IE, Google chrome.

So, now I'm asking this community if you can help me. I've ran out of ideas on what to do. I also have the org Recovery CD's (but the PC i'm using does not support the NIC). Is there ANY WAY I can access the DATA off these HD's from ANY other way? like BOOT a CD using USB, Or access the data and maybe del a folder or 2 to free up some space, so that it will boot up.  or some other Advance HTTP CGI script (fsck check, del temp files..etc), that will enable me to see the boot up, or enable TFTP (i even tried to connect using that) or any other copy job.

i have been reading the posts and i did find out someway  you can make a serial ribbon cable and show the boot up (by taking case off), but i have not tried that part yet.

Any help you can give?

Thank you for your time.

Setting up Raid5 on S2600cp4

I am  setting up Raid5 on a S2600cp4 do you suggest setting it up in Intel RSTe or ESRT2 using a RAID C600 Upgrade Key RKSATA8R5? Also any tips on setup would be helpful.

Tried using RSTe, set up raid5, booted and tried to install server 2012.

It could not find the drives at first, I pointed it to the driver and then it found the array,

Then it could not set up partitions for installation and I am stuck.

The system is a P4308CP4MHEN. I am using three SATA WD 2 TB enterprise drives.

Any advice will help I am a new at setting up raid drives.

Thanks

Hi all,

I recently upgraded the firmware of a working S2600CP2 server running VMWare ESXi 5.5 build 1474528 and VMWare now gets stuck on the initialization of ACPI.  After about a minute or two of being stuck on the initialization of ACPI, the server reboots as if the reset button was pushed on the front of the server, basically resulting in a boot-loop.
