RS3DC080 RAID Controller doesn't spin down my mechanical drives
My RS3DC080 RAID Controller doesn't spin down my mechanical drives even though they're set to 30 minutes Drive Standby Time. I see this set in the controller properties of the BIOS, and set in Web Console. How can I make them spin down?

RU) Добрый день, встал сервер S5520HC при запуске все начинает крутится как положено, но экран черный. после примерно секунд 5-7 он перезапускается и так постоянно скачивал восстановление bios для это платформы ничего не выходил, делал вроде все правильно, скачивал в корень флешки файлы для восстановления FVMAIN.FV,IFlash32.efi,R0050Rec,startup.nsh в файле startup.nsh указывал номер R00xxRec (флешка на 60 мегобайт, попробовал разные файловые системы fat32, fat ,exfat, NTFS) выключил питание сервера переставил джампер BIOS Recover в положение 3-2, вставил флешку, подключил питание, СТАРТ и ничего не происходит((( потом пробывал сбросить BIOS джампером CMOS Clear, батарейку вытаскивал вообще ноль эмоции, заметил ещё такую ситуацию вытащил все оперативки запустил сервер а он не пищит что оперативки нет(((( уже бьюсь с ним НЕДЕЛЮ не знаю что делать, а проблемма появилась после перенастройки BIOS тоесть там что-то изменили во вкладке exit, нажали load optimal defauld или что-то в этом роде. перезапустили и все он теперь не работает(тоесть вариант с тем что, згарела материнская плата исключен) ((( помогите пожалуйста IPMI у меня нет( на первой сетевой карте наклейка RMM3 и написан мак адрес. так и не понял можно ли подключится или нет, тоже весь инет уже перекапал, и так же не нашел расшифровку горящих светодиодов на задне панели материнской платы их там по моему штук 8, просчитал в мануале что вроде как можно через них определить ошибку но уже деделю воюю, голова просто кругом идет((((( на форуме ни где подобного решение данной проблемы не нашел(((( знаю что поддержка прекращена у меня он в пользовании всего год ну может два(((

S1200BTL chassis fan running full speed
Hello,
I have an S1200BTL motherboard and an P4303xxsfcnna chassis. I've used Intel Deployment Assistant to update BIOS, BMC, FRU, etc. The chassis fans are still running at full speed. The BIOS only has an option to change to altitude, but the fan speed is set to auto and cannot be configured.
Any reason why the fans would be running full speed on both of my systems?

Teaming NIC PRO 1000/MT in windows Server 2008 R2
The Intel PRO 1000/MT has (today ?) no "full support" in Windows Server 2008 R2 ; that is : each NIC est recognized by OS and functionnal, but we can't built a team, because Intel Advanced Network Software (ANS) is not available.
More, on my DELL PowerEdge 2850 (with 4 PRO 1000/MT), no PCI-express slot, then i can't install more recent NIC which has full support (like 1000/PT).
A server hardware with server software and with server NICs but no server teaming functionality ?
Does it means I have to replace all my Intel NIC with Broadcom NIC which has teaming support in 2008 R2 ?

E5-2687W v2 and E5-2650 v2 on W2600CR Board
Hi guys,
I have a question about using 2 different CPUs (E5-2687W v2 and E5-2650 v2) on W2600CR Board. Is it possible to mix this two CPUs? I've found in the TPS that the CPUs has to have same Cache size. The 2687 has 25MB L3-Cache and the 2650 only 20MB L3-Cache. Thats why i fear it won't work with this two types of CPUs, right?

s2400sc and 3 memory module
S2400SC and one processor Xeon E5 2407v2; install 3 memory module(ECC 16gb or 2gb ) in dimm_a1, dimm_b1, dimm_c1 - in the BIOS, the message: "dimm_c1 Failed\Disabled". All memory module tested in other servers, its ok.
Why only dimm_a1 and dimm_b1 enabled?

On paper I can see the differenc between the X5460 and E5450 (namely 120W vs 80W and 3.16Ghz vs 3.00Ghz).

Are there any major differences between the chips in their spec and expected compute power?

S3420GP and RAM
Hello,
I have a server mothebord S3420GP with 6 memory slots.
Now, I have 2 slots filled with these: 2x KINGSTON 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9 DIMM with Thermal Sensor.
Is possible to use another 4 these RAMs? So I would have 24 GB RAM with 6 x 4 GB. Is this combination possible?
Or is possible to use 4 x KINGSTON 8GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 ECC Dual Rank BOX.
So total memory size will be 32 GB RAM.

Что имеем:
Два Сервера fujitsu, конфигурация серверов абсолютно одинаковая, на обоих установлено по две сетевые карты:
Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter (EXPI9301CTBLK) - локальная сеть
Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM - интернет
На серверах установлен Window HyperV 2012R2.
На одном HyperV01 установлена виртуальная машина - сервер теминалов, на втором Hyperv02 установлена виртуальная машина - сервер БД. Пользователи работают с сервером БД через терминальный сервер, через сетевой адаптер Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter (EXPI9301CTBLK).
ПРОБЛЕМА: периодически отваливается сетевой адаптер, виртуальные машины становятся недоступны, помогает только перезагрузка сервера Fujitsu.

SAS Controller drivers for S2600CP2J
I've been looking for drivers, but all I can seem to find are packages with a massive list of possibilities as to which kind of controller I have. Device manager shows it's an Intel device with an ID of 1D69. I would normally check the PCI Database, but it seems their database is borked at the moment.
Given what I'm seeing on the motherboard I don't think there's a hardware raid on here, unless there's an integrated chip that I don't see. The drivers page for my board series seems to suggest this SAS Hardware RAID Driver for Windows* (x86 & x64 version) but I think this is more likely: Download Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 (ESRT2) RAID driver for Windows* . In the BIOS there is mention of using ESRT2 or RSTe. I'm familiar with RSTe as the software (or hybrid) raid that's popular on most consumer motherboards but I'd never encountered ESRT2 before.
If I'm to use either of those packages to install drivers however, there's still the issue of determining what exact device I'm working with. Would anyone be able to help with that?
